First Holy Communion

What you need to know -The preparation classes for 1st┬áHoly Communion run this year from November. Candidates would normally be from year 3 and must be 7 years old by the time they make their 1st┬áHoly Communion. All candidates must provide a valid baptismal certificate. Although the classes, which are run by our parish catechists, are primarily for the children, parents are expected to play a supportive role during the preparation period. The first meeting with parents will be on Wednesday 15th November at 6.30 pm in the Church Hall; the children’s classes will begin on November 22nd. The 1st Holy Communion Mass will be on Sunday 15th April – time as yet to be decided. Forms are available from 1st November at the two churches and St John Fisher Academy.
