What you need to know -The preparation classes for 1st┬áHoly Communion run this year from November. Candidates would normally be from year 3 and must be 7 years old by the time they make their 1st┬áHoly Communion. All candidates must provide a valid baptismal certificate. Although the classes, which are run by our parish catechists, are primarily for the children, parents are expected to play a supportive role during the preparation period. The first meeting with parents will be on Wednesday 15th November at 6.30 pm in the Church Hall; the children’s classes will begin on November 22nd. The 1st Holy Communion Mass will be on Sunday 15th April at 1.30 pm at English Martyrs Chruch. Forms are available from 1st November at the two churches and St John Fisher Academy.
